FRIEMERSHEIM NEWS - An open air church service was held in the village of Friemersheim, inland from Mossel Bay, last weekend.
Sergeant Lauriane Botha of the Great Brak Police Station organised the service in conjunction with church leaders.
The jurisdiction of the Great Brak Police includes Friemersheim.

Beauty pageant finalist visits Friemersheim
The theme of the service was Hope - hope for every child, as well as for families and the community.
Rosie Venter, a finalist in the Miss Teen Universe South Africa pageant, was the invited guest and gave an encouraging address.
Children in the community were so excited about meeting Rosie, that they wrote letters to her and gave them to her.
Sgt Botha said members of the community committed themselves to joining hands together to fight crime.
The service was a "huge success", she said.
