MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The opening cruise of the new sailing season took place in cold and wet weather, with strong gusts of wind on Sunday, when boats, yachts and dinghies took part in the sail past at the Mossel Bay Yacht and Boat Club.
Rear commodore (sailing) Jean du Plessis saluted the sailors.
The traditional water fight between sailing vessels did happen although on a smaller scale due to the inclement weather.
With the reality of ocean pollution, members of the NSRI tried their best to retrieve as many balloons used in the water fight, from the water during the fight. Refreshments and hot coffee were on offer at the club.
