MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Surf Lifesaving Club held its annual Nippers' Championships on Sunday, 18 March at Dias Beach. The Nippers are aged 13 and under.
The Nippers did sprints, flag events, swims, run-swim-run events and board events.

Besides being good practice for the Nippers who are competing in the SA Lifesaving National Championships in Port Elizabeth from 1 April, the children also had great fun.
It was beneficial for them to compete against one another in the structured formats characteristic of the national championships.
A group of children from KwaNonqaba who had come to watch the action were given the opportunity to take part.
The MBSLC, which is a non-profit company, has the motto: "No Nipper will be turned away."
The club often includes any children who are keen to participate in its practices at Dias Beach and does its best to raise money to sponsor Nippers whose parents cannot afford the money for their children to take part.
