MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Pinnacle Point Estate's first golf competition for the year and the biggest annual member-only competition, the Club Championship, was held on 2 and 3 January.
With near-perfect weather, the players took to the course to compete for the 2020 title of Club Champion.
Herman du Plessis played some commendable golf to ultimately win the Club Championship on an impressive score of 140, four under par. Being under 18, Herman was also crowned Champion of the Junior Division.
The Stableford competition for the A-Division was won by Jacques Wickens and the Nett competition by Dawie Louw.
In the B division Jaco Breedt played one of his best rounds on Pinnacle Point to claim the B division title, leading by a comfortable seven shots.
The Stableford competition was won by Attie Barrington and the Nett title was awarded to Kobus Potgieter.
In the C division the Stableford competition was won by Stig Holmberg, the Nett competition was won by Ed Juta and Bertus Smith recorded the win for the senior division.
The ladies' division delivered some great golf, with Ilze Nel lifting the championship trophy for the third consecutive year. The Stableford competition was won by Vivienne Wentworth and the Nett competition by birthday girl on the day Marianda de Villiers.
In the junior division, 12-year-old Zander Maritz followed suit by winning the title of Junior Stableford Champion - a great achievement by the youngster.
