GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - It's that time of year again - entries to the 2025 Eden Street Mile Series are officially open.
The George Street Mile is back and first in line on 14 December, followed by the Klein Karoo Street Mile in Oudtshoorn on 16 December and last but not least, the ATKV Street Mile in Hartenbos on 18 December.
The series attracts elite athletes, rising stars and enthusiastic recreational runners all vying for position over the one-mile (1.6km) distance.
With more than R60 000 in prize money across the three races, strong competition is expected.
Spectators can expect a full programme of age group events, schools' races and senior categories, creating opportunities for athletes of all levels to take part.
The race will once again take place on a spectator-friendly street circuit, giving residents and visitors the chance to line the route and experience the action up close as athletes sprint for the finish.
