MOSSELBAAI NUUS - One person died in a vehicle collision on the N2 between Albertinia and Mossel Bay earlier today, 22 June.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, confirmed the KwaNonqaba Police opened a culpable homicide docket after a 42-year-old woman died in the accident which occurred near the Rietvlei Farm turnoff at around 16:00.
According to Spies the accident involved two vehicles, both Volkwagen Polos.
“Preliminary investigation reveals that one vehicle was stationary when it was hit from behind by the other.”
He said the 42-year-old woman sustained multiple serious injuries and was declared dead by paramedics on scene.
Three other occupants were taken to a nearby medical facility for medical care.
No arrests have been made. The investigation continues.
