MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay is full of talented youths who just need a chance on the stage to shine. 

So says Adrian London, one of the organisers of Schools Got Talent who hosted some auditions at Sao Bras High School last Saturday, 8 August, for the competition’s finals. 

The school’s hall was filled with high schoolers from Indwe Secondary, Garden Route High, Hillcrest Secondary and Sao Bras High that afternoon, who came to showcase their dancing, singing and rapping skills.

The judges, who included previous winners of Mossel Bay’s Got Talent, were Victoria Moodie, Crimson Hozay, Roché Cronic, Faizel Fortuin, Denwin Stuurman, Jaydrin Saayman and Adrian London.

London told Mossel Bay Advertiser the talent was fresh and inspiring, and that the children who participated were all hungry to learn more about the performing arts. 

“Mossel Bay has a lot of talent, although the kids are a bit shy, but we will work hard to get them invested in developing their talent,” he said.

The talent search began in 2017 as a way to assist developing talent and to teach Mossel Bay’s youth about the performing arts. 

This competition, which was organised in collaboration with Canibeat Productions and Sao Bras High, is aimed at raising funds for the school to help underprivileged learners.

London said high schoolers are still able to enter through video auditions, and that he had already received two submissions after Saturday.
