MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Garden Route District Municipality has confirmed that there has been no oil spill in the Blind River at Danabaai.
This follows after photos of what appeared to be a spill were circulated on social media. A foul smell was also reported.

According to confirmed information from environmentalists, the debris is algae that has grown excessively due to the current high temperatures, and broken loose.
Environmentalists have also confirmed that the putrid smell is the result of algae bloom.
