KWANONQABA NEWS - The 20-year-old man who was found with multiple stab wounds in Lonwabo Street, KwaNonqaba, on Monday morning, 8 September, has been identified as Lwamkelo Bukani.
Bukani’s body was found in a small dumpsite behind a home in the area.
The police were alerted to the incident just after 07:30 and the emergency medical services declared him dead on the scene.
Bukani’s aunt, Noloyiso Vangqa, told Mossel Bay Advertiser she and the rest of the family have taken his death extremely hard. “We are trying, but we are not alright. It is very difficult for us and we are all praying,” she said.
While Bukani was originally from the Eastern Cape, he had lived in the Mossel Bay area for a while now.
“He loved music. That was his passion,” said Vangqa. “He especially loved rap. He wrote his own lyrics and walked around the house rapping. He also loved his family. We are all going to miss him.”
His funeral will be held in the Eastern Cape next weekend.
The KwaNonqaba Police Station’s spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, said a case of murder is being investigated by Sergeant José Chuna.
No arrests have been made as yet. Should anyone have any information on the incident, contact Chuna on 082 334 7566.
