MOSSEL BAY NEWS - No less than nine homes were destroyed earlier today in a fire that presumably started due to an electrical short circuit.
The incident, according to information, took place shortly after the power supply was restored following load shedding today.
The informal settlement where the homes caught alight is said to be riddled with illegal power connections.
“The afflicted families lost everything they had,” commented Sgt Kapp, spokesperson of the KwaNonqaba Police. “A four month old baby miraculously escaped certain death thanks to his mother to rescued him just in time.”
