MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The 28-year-old man who handed himself over to police after a double murder in Mossel Bay appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court this morning.
The suspect, Nkosithandile Ngolomi allegedly stabbed his 32-year-old girlfriend, Yanga Mayambela to death on Sunday morning at their Asla Park home.
His neighbour, 30-year-old Mthura Khalani tried to intervene and was also stabbed to death. Ngolomi will remain in custody until his formal bail application on the 13 November.
Meanwhile, residents in Mossel Bay will attend an imbizo at the Garden Route Primary School this afternoon,this is to talk about gender based violence.
Community activist Blessing Fasi told the Mossel Bay Advertiser that they want to see justice for Yanga and Mthura. He said they will talk about solutions to stop violence against women and children. The event starts at 17:00.
