MOSSELBAAI NUUS - Die 25-jarige man van Mosselbaai wat op 5 April gediagnoseer is met die Covid-19-virus en vandeesweek sy ervaring met die Mossel Bay Advertiser gedeel het, het noukeurig boek gehou van sy simptome.
Hy het ook genoem watter medikasie hy gebruik het tydens sy tydperk van 14 dae in selfkwarantyn.
Die man, wat in China werk, het op 5 Maart in Suid-Afrika aangekom, die dag wat die land se eerste Covid-19-geval bevestig is. Sy diagnose op 5 April, was nie sy eerste kennismaking met Covid-19 nie.
"Ek het baie imuunboosters geneem en gewone verkouemedikasie. Ek het ook baie knoffel, suurlemoene, lemoene, vrugte en groente ingeneem om my imuunsysteem te versterk."
Verkouemedikasie sluit in: ACC 200, vitamine C, Efferflu C, Painblok, Amuco 200, Linctagon C en Prospan. Die man het ook 'n paar foto's gedeel van sy tyd in China tydens die uitbreek van die Covid-19-virus.

- 5 April - Got results. Mom and I tested positive for Covid-19. Cough.
- 6 April - Lost smell and taste, less coughing, body ache.
- 7 April - Body ache , cramps lost smell and taste, mucus on chest
- 8 April - Body ache, closed nose, dry throat.
- 9 April - Body ache, no taste,smell yet, had hiccups. Hurts when I breathe. Temp 36.5
- 10 April - Shortness of breath, nausea, body ache, light cough. Temp 35
- 11 April - Shortness of breath and still no smell and taste. Light headache. Otherwise 100%. Temp 35.4
- 12 April - Temp 34.5, feeling good. Coughing comes and goes, still no smell and taste.
- 13 April - Mucus in throat. Cannot taste/smell. Feeling great. Temp 35
- 14 April - Mucus in throat. Temp 35.1. Still no taste/smell. Feeling 100%
- 15 April - Taste slowly coming back, still no smell. Stomach burn (feeling heartburn/ acid). Feeling 100%. Temp 34.5
- 16 April - Temp 35.6 partial taste no smell, nasal drip.
- 17 April - Heartburn. Temp 35.1. Partial taste no smell cough in mornings due to nasal drip
- 18 April - Nasal drip, Temp 35.5. Couch in mornings, no smell partial taste.
- 19 April - Last day of self isolation. Feeling good. Partial smell/taste.
