KWANONQABA NEWS - An armed robbery took place at a spaza shop in the New Rest informal settlement in KwaNonqaba on Friday night, 27 February.
The spokesperson for the KwaNonqaba Police Station, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, told Mossel Bay Advertiser three male suspects in balaclavas had entered the shop at 20:00.
The owner and a few customers were inside at the time.
One of the suspects was allegedly in possession of a firearm, which was used to threaten the owner and the customers.
The suspects took cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
No arrests have been made yet and the investigation is still ongoing.
