Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Sergeant Lauriane Botha, the spokesperson for and a police officer of the Great Brak River Police Station, made a brief appearance in the Great Brak River Periodical Court today, 27 February.
Botha was arrested on Monday 23 February on charges of corruption, defeating the ends of justice and intimidation.
She appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court that same day, when the matter was postponed to today.
A police minibus brought some members of the Southern Cape Public Order Police to the periodical court this morning, however, there were no incidents and the officers left shortly after the court heard Botha’s matter.
The case has been postponed to 5 May for further investigation.
