MOSSEL BAY NEWS - This Sunday, 5 December, is International Volunteer Day. We asked people if they do voluntary work.
JUSTIN BLIGENOUD, Mossel Bay: "We have a neighbour whose husband died several years ago. I help her by washing her dog and doing odd jobs such as maintaining her roof and removing weeds in her garden."
JESSICA BROWN, Mossel Bay: "I am part of an NPO called Helping Hands Mossel Bay. We provide school clothes and toiletries to underprivileged school-going children. Our NPO was formed in March 2019. We started our charity in memory of a friend who had passed away."
AZARIA MOODIEN, Mossel Bay: "I am not a volunteer, but if I did voluntary work, it would be to help small children who come from broken homes or who have been abused. We must support them. They are our next generation."
