Although the cloudy and cool weather was a bit disappointing, as opposed to the warm and sunny conditions on Saturday, this did not dampen any of the participants' enthusiasm.
Led by the NSRI, kayaks, rubber ducks, yachts sailed past to salute the commodore, Johann van Rooyen.
One of the kayakers, in an effort to salute the commodore properly, capsized, much to the amusement of a substantial number of onlookers.
After the 'formalities', in keeping with tradition, the participants keenly took to bombarding fellow crew members and those of other vessels with water balloons.
Megan Robertson, Mossel Bay's young Olympic sailor, also participated, proudly sporting her Youth Olympic gear. She represented South Africa at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China recently.
