MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Africa Day is celebrated annually on 25 May.
This is a commemoration of the founding of the Organisation of African Unity on 25 May 1963.
Not only is the day remembered in various African countries, but also around the world.
In Mossel Bay, locals congregated to celebrate Africa Day in an event called the African Autumn Afternoon Tea. It was hosted at the Monroe Theatre and guests, dressed in their favourite cultural dress, enjoyed traditional eats.
The theme for Africa Day 2021 was Arts, Culture And Heritage: Levers for Building the Africa We Want.
