Hundreds attend community Imbizo
Hundreds of Mossel Bay residents attended a community imbizo last night. Residents went to Kanonkop Street in Asla Park where Yanga Mayambela and Mthura Khalani were killed on Sunday.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - More than 500 people attended a community imbizo held at the Garden Route Primary School last night.

This follows the double murder of Yanga Mayambela (32) and Mthura Khalani (30) on Sunday in Asla Park.

Yanga’s boyfriend appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court yesterday on two counts of murder.

A five-year-old girl was raped in KwaNonqaba last week. The girl’s neighbour was killed in a bundu court shortly thereafter.

Community activist, Blessing Fasi called on residents to find a solution for gender based violence. “We cannot go on like this,” Fasi said.
