MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A man in his twenties from Esindlovini in Mossel Bay was brutally killed after he allegedly raped a 5-year-old girl.
The man was accused of luring the toddler to his wendy house on Thursday, 8 October. He allegedly promised to give her a cellphone and raped her on a bed.
Later the same day, the girl’s aunt noticed that she was not feeling well and the victim told her about the incident.
The aunt then went to call for help and a community leader tried to confront the man. He, however, ran away.
Later on Thursday evening the community found him and brutally murdered him near the Indwe Secondary High School.
Police discovered the body of the man on late Friday afternoon, 9 October. He had multiple stab wounds and was also hit with stones.
A source told the Mossel Bay Advertiser that no one will talk about the murder.
The girl was taken to a doctor who confirmed that she was raped.
The rape case against the man will not be able to continue and the case will now be filed.
