At approximately 20:00, Mr Zintua left his home to go to a nearby shop. Upon his return, he found that his house, an adjoining garage and the dwelling of Mrs Mpho were destroyed by a fire.
The cause of the fire was unknown at the time of going to press.
Fortunately, there were no casualties and the Mossel Bay Fire and Rescue Services were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby properties.
