CT leg of sevens series 'A success'

NATIONAL NEWS - The HSBC Sevens World Series Cape Town leg has cemented itself on the Mother City’s sporting calendar.

Cape Town stadium played host to the inaugural leg of the series which was attended by over 100,000 spectators over the past two days.

Spectators were not left disappointed during the two day rugby extravaganza, as the Springbok Sevens blazed to victory in the final in front of a 52,000 strong crowd last night.

South Africa beat Argentina 29-14 and won the trophy event in front of a boisterous crowd.
