MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Make your way to Mossel Bay where the second weekend of the annual Sports and Recreation Festival, hosted by the Mossel Bay Municipality is in full swing.
Entrance to all events is free and several exciting sporting competitions are taking place at different venues across town.
The festival is in full swing and only concludes next weekend when, on 7 October, Mossel Bay will celebrate being voted the 2017 Town of the Year with a spectacular town festival with big name acts being lined up as part of the day-long programme.
The bestMed Madibaz Schools Top 10 Athletics takes place at the Van Riebeeck Stadium until 18:30 tonight.
Badminton competitions are well under way at the Indoor Sports Centre in Bill Jeffery Avenue in Extension 23, where exciting Karate can also be seen until 18:00.
Various teams from across the province are competing in darts at the Erika Primary school.

Spectacular motorsport gimkana can be seen at the De Bakke parking area, or make your way to the airstrip where the model flying competition will take place until 13:00 today.
The ever popular Point High School Cricket Festival is hosted at three different venues across town; the Van Riebeeck Stadium, the D’Almeida Stadium as well as at the Curro Private School fields.

Big soccer competitions will provide exciting viewing at the Extension 23 Sports Fields, and to watch really good tennis, make your way to the Mossel Bay Tennis Club.
