BOXING NEWS - Bulelani Nozinja Ngondeka is a member of the Garden Route Boxing Academy on Gubula Street in Asla Park.
He will be fighting for the Western Cape title this Saturday, 13 October, in Goodwood.
He stays in Langeni, KwaNonqaba. His coach, Masimphiwe Qatu, is a National Star 1 coach who has produced numerous provincial and national medallists.
This year he trained Singalakha Mbutuma, who won 29 fights with only one loss. Singalakha is the 2023 WC champion held in Knysna on 7 and 8 October. In 2022, Singalakha was voted the best boxer of the tournament in Nyanya. This year he was voted the best boxer in the inter-provincial tournament held in Mossel Bay.
Bulelani's club mates, Qhamani Madolo and Enenceba Mfeketho, are also 2023 WC gold medallists with zero defeats. Qhamani Madolo has fought 16 times with no losses, and Enenceba Mfeketho has fought nine times with no losses. They are promising future champions who consistently put Mossel Bay, WC, and the Southern Cape on the map. "We are praying that Ngondeka can win this upcoming tournament so that next year, we can compete for the National title," says Qatu.
Singalakha was ranked number one in Mossel Bay in athletics school marathons. He was voted the Man of the Tournament in rugby school sports several times. Now he will represent the WC at the National Games to be held in Mpumalanga from 7 to 12 December.
