MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Sport Council (MBSC) hosted a highly successful beach sport development day at Santos Beach on Saturday, 22 March.
About 18 sport and recreational codes were represented. More than 440 participants took part in the day’s activities.
The aim was to expose people to a large variety of sports and recreational activities, which are not always accessible to everyone.

The other major aim was for children to have fun through mass participation.
Attendees were honoured by Barry Hendricks, president of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC), being at the event.
He noted on his Facebook page: "I truly appreciate participating in the Mossel Bay Sports Council’s sports festival this morning at Santos Beach.
"This is what taking sport to the people and being a sports movement is all about.
"The Western Cape and Eden sports confederations should be proud. National presidents will recognise their codes and clubs. Well done."
