Two of the heroes of the successful SWD provincial team, Gurshwin Rabie and Ross McMillan, received the premier CSA First Class awards as the three day and one day player in the respective competitions.
Fast bowler Rabie, who has been rewarded for his efforts with a Warriors contract for the coming season, took a 64 first-class wickets last season, including eight on his debut for the Warriors. His bowling average for the season was a phenomenal 14.87. SWD captain McMillan took 19 one day wickets at 12.42 apiece, to top the national average. He also managed more than 600 first-class runs.
