KARATE NEWS - George Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate school took part in the Okinawa Goju-ryu Karatedo Kyokai (OGKK) National Tournament that was hosted at the Coetzenburg Sport Stadium in Stellenbosch last month.
George OGKK entered a 32-member team ranging from seven-year-olds to the senior veteran's divisions.
George did exceptionally well after the long Covid-induced absence from the tournament mat.
Twelve members received their Okinawa Goju Ryu national colours: Marissa Nunns, Lisa Blank, Lianke Barkhuysen, Joshua and Bradley Jameson, Janko Joubert (junior divisions), Beanca Rudolph, Glen Smith, Jody Tarloff, RC Coetzee, Melanie Mittendorf and Raylynne Rudolph (senior divisions).
