MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The annual Garden Route Casino Classic bodybuilding competition took place on 2 August at the Tsogo Sun Garden Route Casino.

The show is hosted by Johan and Deseray du Toit from George and has become an annual tradition in Mossel Bay.

Athletes from both the Eastern Cape and Western Cape competed, with the turnout surpassing previous years, said the organisers.

The judging was done by the experienced panel from Physical Culture Association (PCA) South Africa, who travelled from Cape Town to assist with registration and judging.

There were 20 different line-up categories; the winners went through to the overall final judging.

The organisers thanked the numerous sponsors involved and said the quality of athletes really inspired the crowd to be extremely interactive.

Certain athletes have been selected for the PCA South African Championships later this year hosted by the association.
