MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A well-supported medal competition last week perhaps had something to do with the first real summer's day of the year, or perhaps the girls are already working on their G Cup points for next year?
Whatever the reason, a really good day was had by all, some just played better golf than others and two in particular, Ilze and Cynthia, managed to return below-par scores on greens that are currently quite tricky.
I had the pleasure of playing with Ilze, and boy was that putter HOT!
The silver division went to Ilze Nel with 71 net, Gail Botha's 72 net was not too shabby for a well-deserved second place.
The bronze division went to the wire, Laetitia Higgs counting out Sue Wright, both with 75 net.
The copper ladies were left in the dust by Cynthia Zietsman's excellent 70 net, Shirley Pressley taking second spot (74 net).
Dawn had a two club, and Ilze, not surprisingly had the least puts on the green, only 27 which included three 3 putts!
