With the teams still searching for combinations and working on pre-season fitness, there was minimal goalmouth action in the opening minutes. The match ended with no goals being scored after 90 minutes and the teams had to play on for extra time.
Power Stars scored two goals during the first half of extra time, putting them in the position to claim the tournament.
Peacemakers, however, never gave up the fight and put on a much better performance during the second half of the match, in spite of not winning the tournament.
Power Stars hence proved to be unstoppable, come the next season.
Sizwe Kleinbooi from Peacemakers was named man of the match and showed that he was not short of pace going into the season, making a superb run up the field. Unfortunately, the defence was able to scramble back and clear his supernatural passes.
The results in the semi-finals are as follows: Hosfire 0 - Peacemakers 2, Green Aces 0 - Power Stars 1.
