MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Tomorrow, 16 June, the Mayoral Soccer Business League tournament will kick off at 08:30 at the Extension 23 sports fields in Mossel Bay.
This inaugural tournament will become an annual fixture on Mossel Bay's sporting calendar.
Several teams will compete, most notably teams from Mossel Bay Municipality, PetroSA, Nestlé, Mobicast, Henra, Garden Route Casino, Seavuna, Pinnacle Point and the Scott Ostrich Farm.
Mossel Bay executive mayor, Alderman Dirk Kotzé, thanked Councillor Mark Furness for sponsoring the trophy and medals. The Mayoral Fund contributed the kit for the Mossel Bay Municipality Football Club.
Kotzé said: "Sport has, over the years, had a unifying effect on our communities and succeeds in keeping the young people constructively engaged. With this tournament, the participating businesses provide the impetus to the teams representing their brand and interests. May the best team win."
Alderman Kotzé thanked Councillor Mark Furness for sponsoring the trophy and medals for the participating teams.
