The Awards Breakfast commemorates the accomplishments of the growing talent in the country as CSA continues to drive its vision of making cricket a truly national sport of winners.
This year, CSA and KFC are proud to announce the extension of the partnership between the organisations as well as the renewal of the KFC Mini-Cricket sponsorship for the next 10 years.
CSA President, Mr Chris Nenzani said: “CSA Day is the highlight of our cricketing calendar. It brings the entire cricket family together as we celebrate the diversity of our nation and salute not just our super stars but those who have overcome adversity in all its forms to achieve great deeds.
“It is also an occasion to congratulate all those unsung heroes who work so tirelessly behind the scenes without any reward other than the knowledge that they have completed a job well done. It is indeed an occasion for good cheer and camaraderie as much as a salute to our acknowledged champions.
“There is thus a lot more to celebrate than to acknowledge this year’s award winners. Cricket is the common thread that gives us a sense of national pride and unity. We have achieved much that we can be proud of during the course of the past 24 years but these successes must also serve to remind us that there is still much that needs to be done.
“I would like to congratulate all our award winners. Your successes are well deserved and will serve as an inspiration not just to yourselves to set the cross bar even higher but also to those who will be inspired by you to follow in your footsteps in the years ahead.”
“Looking back on another successful and highly active season of KFC Mini-Cricket, we are incredibly proud to be announcing our continued support of the KFC Mini-Cricket programme for the next ten years,” Mike Middleton, Chief Marketing Officer of KFC Africa said.
“Our shared vision remains to get more kids in South Africa to lead active lifestyles through the KFC Mini-Cricket programme and we will continue to work closely with our partner, Cricket South Africa, to take development cricket to the next level and continue to build upon the positive momentum generated over the course of five very successful seasons.”
