MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Local visually impaired athlete Ricardi Matthee triumphed at the South African Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (SASAPD) National Championships in Bloemfontein.
He showed his talent and determination, securing a gold medal and defending his title in the 100m men's U20 category.
Ricardi also won the men's U20 long jump, with an impressive leap just shy of six metres.
The champs took place on the weekend of 22 March.
Day three
To top it off, he claimed his third gold medal - in the 200m men's U20 race on day three of the championships.
Ricardi and his family are raising funds so he can attend the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Paris this June.
