MOSSELBAY NEWS - The Eden Modern Pentathlon Association (MPA) hosted one of the 55 Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) Laser Run City Tours that have been held worldwide, on Saturday at Curro Mossel Bay.
More than 80 interested athletes, parents, teachers and spectators participated in this exciting occasion. It was enjoyed by all thoroughly and several prospective athletes shared their keen interest in the sport and have the intention of participating actively.
The organisers expressed their sincere appreciation to Curro Mossel Bay for the use of its facilities and the event was also well supported by Curro staff and learners.
A special thank you goes to the Mossel Bay Mall and Botlierskop Private Game Reserve for sponsoring the attractive relay prizes for the deserving winners.
The World Laser Run Championships will be held in Cape Town by the South African Modern Pentathlon Association from 13 to 15 October.
Several of the elite athletes, who participated on Saturday will be in action and represent South Africa.
