SCHOOL NEWS - The last of the matric exams will be written this Wednesday 26 November, with 112 papers written during the exam period in the Western Cape.
A total of 1 470 candidates will write Agricultural Management Practices, Marine Sciences or Music Comprehension on Wednesday.
Education Minister David Maynier says the exam session has run smoothly this year, thanks to the exceptional management by officials and school staff.
“This is a massive administrative task, and we appreciate the support that the public has shown during the exams.
“Thank you to our matric teachers who have worked tirelessly to prepare our candidates for these exams.”
4 190 markers will now mark over 954 000 exam papers, with marking taking place at 12 marking centres.
The national matric results will be announced on Monday, 12 January and candidates will receive their results at their school or on the WCED website on Tuesday 13 January.
