SWIMMING NEWS - Florida State’s Chad Mylin has been named the ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week, and Seminole Joshua Davidson has been selected as the ACC Men’s Diver of the Week. On the women’s side,Caitlin Cooper of Virginia has been tabbed the ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week, and the Cavaliers’ Kylie Towbin has been named Diver of the Week.
Mylin recorded three top-five finishes in Florida State’s meet against No. 6 Florida. The senior from Longwood, Florida, placed second in the 50 free with an NCAA provisional time of 19.75, and was part of the second-place 200 medley relay team. Mylin was also on the 400 free relay team for the Seminoles that placed fifth.
Davidson won both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions for Florida State. The freshman from Tomball, Texas, finished at least 23 points ahead of the second-place finisher in both events, and scored a 318.23 on the 1-meter, and a 355.58 on the 3-meter.
