The top three learners were Gratia Pauw, who achieved 95% and seven distinctions, JP le Roux, who scored 94% and eight distinctions, and Reese Watson, who attained 93% and seven distinctions.
There was a good turnout of matrics for the results announcement. Warm sunshine flooded the hall, mirroring the mood of the happy learners.
After Gouws' speech the matrics lined up at desks to receive their printed results from teachers, who handed them out. Many hugs were shared and throughout the hall there were groups of learners, scrutinising their results and chatting about them animatedly.
