POLITICAL NEWS - With President Jacob Zuma in the spotlight after yet another Cabinet reshuffle, he is set to make his first public appearance in Gauteng since the move.
The president will on Thursday morning unveil a life-size statue of former African National Congress (ANC) president OR Tambo at the international airport named after him.
Zuma switched some ministers and fired Blade Nzimande days ago, raising questions around the reasons behind the changes to his Cabinet.
Apart from a short written statement from his office announcing the changes, the president has remained silent on the shakeup.
President Zuma has recently spent some time honoring Tambo, calling on ANC leaders to emulate him by uniting the organisation and not obsessing about the positions they hold in the party.
Earlier this month, Zuma said that Tambo had the ability to engage and listen to other people’s views, regardless of how different they were from his.
