Tutu deeply touched by prayer service

NATIONAL NEWS - Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu says he has been deeply touched by a prayer service held in Cape Town after he was discharged from hospital.

The 83-year-old anti-apartheid icon was hospitalised for a persistent infection.

He was discharged last week.

His doctors maintain the illness is unrelated to prostate cancer he has been battling for more than a decade.

Those who gathered to pray for him this weekend have wished him good health.

Tutu says he is grateful for the prayers.
