Fransman officially back on ANC election campaign trail

NATIONAL NEWS - Embattled Western Cape African National Congress (ANC) leader Marius Fransman is officially back on the election campaign trail after he was given the green light by Luthuli House to resume his duties.

Fransman was asked to step down from his position earlier this year to allow a probe into claims he sexually assaulted a woman who was working for him.

Louisa Wynand, aged 21, opened a criminal case against him in January but it remains unclear whether he’ll face charges.

The party’s provincial leadership was informed about Fransman’s return yesterday morning.
