NATIONAL NEWS - Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu has been discharged from hospital.

The Nobel Peace Laureate was re-admitted several days back to a Cape Town medical facility.

Tutu has been receiving treatment at an undisclosed Cape Town hospital for several days.

He was being treated for a persistent infection.

The infection was a consequence of treatment for prostate cancer.

In a statement released today his daughter Mpho says he will continue his recovery at home.

The Tutu family has once again expressed its deep gratitude for the support it’s been getting.
