Courtney Pieters: Suspect charged with kidnapping, rape & murder

NATIONAL NEWS - The case against the man accused of killing three-year-old Courtney Pieters has been postponed to next week.

Mortimer Saunders was arrested on Sunday night, a day after the Elsies River child's body was found in Epping.

Saunders made his first appearance in the Goodwood Magistrates Court this morning.

He faces one count of murder, one count of kidnapping and two counts of rape.

The case has been postponed to ascertain whether or not Saunders can apply for legal aid representation.
