NATIONAL NEWS - Nationwide all Clicks stores closed their doors for a day, today 9 September, to provide counselling and support to their staff.
Outraged by an online advert for hair products by Clicks, the EFF launched a national campaign against the chain store giant on Monday, causing damage to several outlets across the country.
EFF provincial chairperson Melikhaya Xego said they plan to close stores everywhere until tomorrow, Friday 11 September.
Clicks Group CEO Vikesh Ramsunder said the protest action has had a significant impact on their staff and customers and that is why they took the decision to close their stores for a day.
"We will use this opportunity to engage directly with all our store staff across the county, to provide counselling and support. We will be supported by the Icas Employee Health and Wellness Programme," said Ramsunder.
