Bullying victim's mom calls for more protection

NATIONAL NEWS - The mother of a pupil who was bullied at a Goodwood school has told Eyewitness News that not enough is being done to address the problem and to protect vulnerable learners.

A video of the woman's son being assaulted at Fairbairn College about two weeks ago has surfaced.

The 33-year-old says her child is traumatised.

"My son has lost more than a week’s worth of schoolwork as he’s been too afraid to enter the school environment. The boys have been suspended, pending a disciplinary meeting."

The mother says when she reported the incident, the deputy principal reportedly told her they couldn't guarantee her child's safety.

She's since met with the parents of the boys.
