In a statement released yesterday, CEO at JHI Properties, Nomzamo Radebe, said no customers were injured during the incident. Radebe however confirmed that two construction workers suffered minor injuries and received care on site.
Earlier this month the ceiling between the banking mall and Nelson Mandela Square caved in, injuring one woman.
Elfi Loambo was rushed to hospital after a small portion of the ceiling between the banking mall and Nelson Mandela Square caved in.
An empty store has been closed off on the upper level of Nelson Mandela Square and management was on site to assess the damage.
