MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The KwaNonqaba Police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving after a 76-year-old woman had to be cut from her vehicle following a single-vehicle accident on the N2 near Voorbaai yesterday morning, 9 September.
Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, the KwaNonqaba Police Station’s spokesperson, said the woman had been driving her Toyota Fortuner on the N2 when she reportedly lost control of it at about 10:30 and overturned.
The Mossel Bay Municipality said a crew from its Fire, Rescue and Disaster Management Services used rescue equipment to free the woman from her car before she was taken to hospital.
Kapp said the woman sustained moderate injuries, and a case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened.
