MOSSEL BAY NEWS - On Wednesday, 17 January, the importance of inter-departmental partnerships was highlighted when the Kwanonqaba Police Station in Mayixhale Street received a welcomed facelift.
According to Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, spokesperson for the Kwanonqaba Police, staff of the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) Youth Centre Mossel Bay arrived at Kwanonqaba Police with a few inmates and equipment and started cutting the grass and removing unwanted bushes and vegetation.
This is part of the DCS community outreach programs.
Kwanonqaba Police Station Commissioner, Lieutenant Colonel Virgie Julius and his management thanked DCS and also the Kwanonqaba Community Police Forum (CPF) for the key role they played in the arrangements between the two state entities.
He concluded by saying that clean premises ensured a positive image to the public.
