MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality and the Indonesian Municipality of Denpasar have signed a letter of intent and a cunonia capensis or red alder tree was planted in the gardens of the Dias Museum as a symbol of the growing relationships with Indonesia.
The planting of a tree was suggested by provincial minister of Finance, Dr Ivan Meyer, who accompanied the municipal manager and executive mayor to Indonesia in October 2018.
Municipal manager Advocate Thys Giliomee, executive mayor Alderman Harry Levendal, Indonesia consul-general Krishna Adi Petranto and other Indonesian delegates as well as Mossel Bay councillors at the tree planting ceremony.
