MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Three men appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court this morning on kidnapping charges – they were remanded in custody.
The trio were arrested on Christmas Day for allegedly abducting a girl (16) from a residence in JCC Camp, Da Gamaskop in Mossel Bay the previous day.
The suspects, aged 30, 38 and 48, were known to the girl and allegedly lied to her to get her out of the residence.
Her aunt reported her missing, which set a joint operation between various stakeholders into motion.
The suspects were heading to Cape Town, but their vehicle was traced to the entrance of Caledon and they were arrested. The victim was reunited with her family.
