MOSSEL BYA NEWS - The Mr and Miss KwaNonqaba community and youth showcase, presents a useful stepping stone for a number of reasons. This event creates an opportunity for local artists, fashion designers and models, as well as role models to develop.
The host and director of this showcase, Vuyolwehtu Mfumbe, recently represented the Western Cape in Johannesburg at Mr Commonwealth South Africa and was named first runner up.
"We have different categories in this showcase from Tiny, Little, Junior for the kids and Teen. Then, Miss and Mr KwaNonqaba and Miss Plus size Kwa and Ms Icon Kwa for our older models who paved the way for us. Great prizes are up for grabs, thanks to our sponsors," Mfumbe explains.
Local artists such as MBS Records, Ncumolwethu, Sisonke Entertainment, KwaNonqaba dancers and Mrhanelwa will take the centre stage with our top finalist."
The show takes place on the 19 October at Isalathiso Primary School hall.
Entry costs are R70 per person for pre bookings or R100 at the door. The event starts at 15:00. "We encourage guests to bring donations such as clothes or sanitary products for the needy. We are also calling on local businesses to get involved in the name of youth development," Mfumbe urges.
