MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Today, beach-goers can to witness several skilled surfers catch some waves at The Point in The Surfer Kids Series.
The event, taking place from 07:30 to about 17:30 today, 27 June, is being held in partnership with Eden Surf Riders, the governing federation for surfers in the district.
The series will feature surfers from across the Garden Route in age categories ranging from U12 to U18.
There will also be an open men's and open women's heat.
Ten surfers from The Surfer Kids NPO are competing.
This competition aims to grow competitive surfing in the region and give young surfers a platform to showcase their talents and push surfing development in the area.
